![]() ![]() Summary: Black Ops Cold War will drop fans into the depths of the Cold War's volatile geopolitical battle of the early 1980s.Imagine playing missions similiar to "All Ghillied Up"! Except in the dessert of course. I think it would be a breath of fresh air. Of course, this CoD would be boots on the ground which we all want and it would have a very close vibe to MW1 and MW2. the buildings in futuristic CoD's aren't real, the wars aren't real.Īnyway, back to this game. When a large building collapses in today's CoD's, "meh" and you play on. ![]() When the Eiffel tower collapsed in MW3 you felt saddened. Why? because WW2 happened, the Eiffel tower is a real building, the Vietnamese war happened. There was nothing like the feeling of planting the Russian flag at the end of WaW, watching as the Eiffel tower collapse in MW3 or having a brawl in the SOG camp in BO1. One other thing this CoD would is have the ability to emotionally attach it's players. The main Vietnam fights and the missions where you play as Hudson, infiltrating enemy bases and buildings etc. The SAS could be the characters in this story. This story would be more interesting IMO. he other story could be about the secret ops that went on behind enemy lines, which the public never knew about. Just the idea of fighting in a 3rd world country again would be awesome considering so many CoD's are set in America now. ![]() Tank battles, long range sniping, huge open maps, chinooks etc. One story could be about the desert battles that happened during the Gulf war. Or in MW3 where you swapped between Yuri and Frost. Two stories and two characters can been played like in WaW where you swapped between the Russians and Americans. This CoD could have the classic two-in-one campaign idea used in all the old CoD's. It could maybe be called CoD: Desert Storm because that was actually the name of the operation during the action phase but it's a bit generic. Obviously it wouldn't be called CoD: Gulf War because that would be dumb. I think It would be great because 1991 is such a good time for guns that we all know and love from the first two Modern Warfare games. So for a while now I've been wanting to see a CoD set during the Gulf War. ![]()
